While Creighton endorses no particular brand over another when it comes to laptops, Creighton has had success with, and is a warranty depot for the Lenovo brand.

Make sure to pick a well known computer company, one that you know will be around and can stand behind its warranty. With that in mind, check to see what your brand's warranty policy is. DoIT4Students will not be able to repair your laptop on campus, (if it is a Lenovo we can handle warranty shipping and provide a loaner) so check and see if your computer manufacturer will send a tech on site or if they will ship you a box for service if your student's laptop needs repairs.

DoIT will provide virus removal service for students of the University at no cost. Students are required to bring restore media should they wish to have a system reloaded. It is the responsibility of each student to keep their computer secure, up to date and safe.
