XP SP3 directions
Directions for connecting Windows XP (SP3) to CUWireless
1) Click "Start", go to the Control Panel
2) Open "Network Connections"
3) Right click on the wireless network connection and select "Properties"
4) Choose the "wireless networks" tab
5) If CUWireless doesn't show up in the list, click "Add...", otherwise select it and click "properties"
6) Make sure that the "Network name (SSID)" is set to CUWireless
7) Set network authentication to WPA2. If WPA2 is not available you can also select WPA. If neither are available, you should contact the Service Desk for assistance.
8) Data encryption should be AES
9) Go to the "authentication" tab
10) Select "PEAP" in the EAP type dropdown
11) Click "Properties"
12) Select "Thawte Premium Server CA" from the list of trusted root certification authorities
13) Make sure authentication method is set to EAP-MSCHAPv2
14) If your computer is not joined to the Blue domain (using your netid and Blue password to log on), or your are logging on with a local account, click "Configure" and uncheck "automatically use my windows logon name and password".
15) Click OK and close the wireless configuration. Windows will prompt you for your username, password, and domain.
16) Use your netid and blue password. The domain field can be left blank.
