The Ad Hoc Group of the University’s Crisis Committee has been meeting regularly to discuss the impact of the H1N1 virus on the campus. Several proactive efforts have taken place including:
- Keeping the Creighton community updated on developments through this website and appropriate health bulletins.
- Providing hand sanitizers in key high traffic buildings on campus and during buffet-style receptions surrounding commencement activities.
- Printing posters from the CDC and distributing them throughout campus to promote hand washing and to inform people on what to do if someone thinks they have the flu. Links for those posters are provided here: Cover Your Cough and How to Wash Your Hands.
The committee is working through the University’s Communicable Disease Response Plan and exploring/preparing continuity options in the unlikely event a pandemic outbreak would hit campus. Several workgroups have been formed to deal with course delivery, work scheduling, housing and much more.
