Creighton University will be offering free H1N1 vaccinations to University employees on Jan. 19 from noon‐2:30 p.m. in Skutt Student Center, Room 105.
In late December 2009, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services announced that H1N1 is now open to the general public and not limited to at risk groups.
This benefit is being offered in light of the recommendations from the (CDC) and with overwhelming evidence that influenza vaccination is the most effective method for preventing transmission of the influenza virus and its potentially severe complications.
Attached are Frequently Asked Questions and the H1N1 Influenza Vaccine Information Statement which provide additional information. If you wish to receive the vaccine, please complete the H1N1 Influenza Vaccine Consent Form and bring it with you to the open clinic.
Further opportunities to receive the vaccination at a campus‐wide event will depend on availability of the vaccine. However, dates for clinics in Douglas Country are available at http://www.douglascountyhealth.com/disease/Swine_flu/Clinic_index.php. The vaccine is also being offered to our students through our Student Health and Counseling Center.
