Fire Drill Schedule for Non-Residence Hall Fire Drills
Campus fire drills will take place during the last 10 minutes of the typical class period. The drills will take place in several buildings at a time, with two drill periods daily – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Exit the buildings during the drills and remain outside until the all clear has been given. If your building is not included on the list below then special scheduling will take place with the building occupants to ensure that all buildings participate in a fire drill.

Process for the Drills:
- At the time of the drill, a member of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), Public Safety or Facilities Management will activate the system using a pull station in each of the buildings. A walk through of public areas will be conducted quickly to ensure that everyone has exited the building. The system will be silenced and an "all clear" given within seven minutes after the alarm is sounded.
- The "all clear" will be given, the fire panels will be reset and everyone will be allowed to re-enter to the buildings.
- Each department will be given an opportunity to comment and provide feed back on the drills. This will help identify any problems and resulting education needs that should be met before the University's next drill.
