*100% discount for one family member / 50% for two. (Limited to spouse and one child occupying the same room. Family members must have travel and health insurance. Childcare plans are required during teaching duties at your own expense if not accompanied by spouse.)

WHEN YOU ARRIVE:

  • An Encuentro representative will meet you at the airport in Santiago, DR upon your arrival.
  • You will be introduced to the Encuentro faculty, staff, and students and the ILAC staff members in the main office.
  • You will receive your room key to your private casita for your stay at ILAC and given a tour of the ILAC facilities, including the classroom areas.
  • Encuentro staff will make arrangements with you to exchange money or visit an ATM for spending cash.
  • Meet the Encuentro students! You will be informed of any student/academic trips that are taking place during your time in the DR - you are welcome to join!

WHEN YOU LEAVE:

  • Please return room keys to the ILAC office.
  • You are welcome to purchase items from the ILAC gift store or elsewhere in Santiago to take back with you. The coffee, local art, ILAC t-shirts or hats, and handmade candles all make great gifts.
  • Make sure you have coordinated your travel to the airport with Encuentro staff.
