Overnight retreat for seniors at Mahoney State Park September 28-29
Educational Talent Search seniors will gather at fun-filled Mahoney State Park this month to begin the exciting process of preparing for college next fall. All seniors in the program are asked to attend. Look for your registration forms in the mail or call 280-2314. Completed registration forms are due Friday, September 19.
Sunday, September 28 will be the family day for the retreat. Parents and seniors will travel to Mahoney to learn about month-by-month steps for getting ready for college as well as financial aid programs for college. Dinner and transportation is included. At the end of the evening, parents will say goodnight and seniors will stay overnight in the lodge with Educational Talent Search staff.
Monday, September 29 it will be off to Lincoln for a college tour of the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Seniors will see the university first hand and learn what student life as a Husker is really like. Later that afternoon we will return to Mahoney and talk with admissions representative from other colleges, including Creighton University, University of Nebraska Omaha, and Metropolitan Community College.
