Welcome! Family Weekend is a Creighton annual event that invites students' family members to campus to experience the traditions and activities that make this University unique.
Family Weekend Schedule
Friday, September 18th, 2009
- Noon-4:30pm Check In, Skutt Student Center Fireplace
- If you are not able to collect your materials at check-in, please send your student.
- 2:00-4:30pm Information Table, Skutt Student Center Fireplace
- Shoo the Flu at CU: If you are interested in learning more about what Creighton is doing for H1N1 and the seasonal flu, please stop by to ask us questions.
- 4:30 pm Interest Session
- Pre-med Skutt Student Center Room 104
- Starting in the fall of 2009, a 5-semester, non-credit, Pre-Med Educational Seminar (PMED) will be offered to students. This seminar will provide information and learning opportunities that will enhance their ability to put together the best possible application. Come learn more about this program that will offer seminar activities including workshops on interviewing, preparing your application, writing personal statements and developing solid shadowing experiences among other important topics.

- Being involved on campus can be the key to success in college. Learn about the myriad of opportunities available at Creighton. Find out what's happening on campus in the upcoming months and how to be a part of the community.

*Each family that registers for Family Weekend will receive a voucher for two tickets to the soccer and volleyball games.

9:00am Pancake feed, Morrison Stadium - 8:00am Habitat for Humanity, please register and meet in Deglman Circle
- 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 and 2:00 Ollie the Trolley tours of Omaha, please register and meet in Deglman Circle
- 5:00pm Mass, St. John's Church
- 6:00pm Dinner and Entertainment, Skutt Student Center Mutual of Omaha Ballroom
- Featuring James Cunningham and Funny Money: Combining comedy and audience participation with an exciting multimedia presentation, James teaches the essential skills in earning, spending and saving money.
- 7:00pm Men's Soccer Game vs. Missouri State, Morrison Stadium
Women's Volleyball Game vs. Northern Iowa, DJ Sokol Arena

Other campus and community events during Family Weekend
Friday, September 18th
- 3:00pm to 5:00pm Delta Zeta Turtle Tug on the Kiewit Fitness Center Lawn. Turtle Tug is an annual philanthropy event that has been established to raise money for the speech and hearing impaired, the national philanthropy of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Teams of seven register to compete in a tug of war over green jello, and all proceeds will be donated to organizations that support the speech and hearing impaired, specifically Gallaudet University, the House Ear Institute, and the Starkey Hearing Foundation. - 6:00pm The Omicron Delta Kappa induction ceremony will be in Skutt 105. Families are welcome to join the celebration. A reception will follow the ceremony. Please contact Katie Wadas, ODK advisor, if you have questions.
- 7:30pm-8:30pm The Freshman Leadership Program Family Weekend Ice Cream Social. Families of students in the Freshman Leadership Program are invited to attend this social on the 9th Floor of Kiewit Hall.
Sunday, September 20th, 2009
- 3:00pm St. Louis Jesuits performance at the Holland Performing Arts Center to benefit Jesuit Middle School and St. Peter Claver Cristo Rey High School.
