Add to Calendar 20241103T000000Z 20241108T235900Z America/Chicago First-Generation Celebration Week <p>Join the First-Generation Steering Council, Student Life and Student Success in honoring the achievements and contributions of first-generation students during our First-Generation Celebration Week from Nov. 3 to Nov. 8.</p><p>This week-long celebration will feature a variety of engaging events designed to inspire, empower and connect our community.</p><p><strong>Thursday, Nov. 7</strong>: Mass at St. John’s Church</p><ul><li>Join us for noon Mass at St. John’s Church to celebrate and uplift our first-generation students</li></ul><p><strong>Friday, Nov. 8</strong>: National First-Generation Student Celebration Day, Group Photograph and Celebratory Luncheon in Brandeis Dining Hall</p><ul><li><strong>Group Photo at Creighton Hall</strong>: First-generation students, faculty and staff as well as supporters will gather to take a photo in front of Creighton Hall from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m. Share your first-generation journey on social media using #FirstGenCelebration, and be featured on our NSO and Creighton University platforms. Be sure to tag @CUNewJays, @Creighton1878, and @BluejayLife!&nbsp;<br>(We appreciate the faculty’s understanding that some students may be leaving class early or getting to class a few minutes late to be part of this celebratory photo.)<br>&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Celebratory Luncheon in Brandeis Dining Hall</strong>: Enjoy a delicious lunch while in community with fellow students, faculty and staff starting at 12:30 p.m. This is a perfect opportunity to celebrate achievements and foster connections.</li></ul><p>Let’s come together to honor the resilience and accomplishments of first-generation students!
