Election Process

Election Process

A Call For Nominations has been issued today, April 6, 2022.

Please submit your nominations via the online Call for Nominations survey; you have received an email with your personal link to the Call survey from the Committee on Committees. Nominations are due by Friday, April 15, 2022. Once the nominating time has ended, the Committee will construct the General Election Ballot and distribute it by individual survey link emailed to the voting-eligible faculty. The likely date of distribution (depending on the completion of the Nominating Process) is Monday, April 18, 2022.

The Election Ballots will then be due, by submission of the Qualtrics/BlueQ University Election surveys, on or before midnight, April 29, 2022. Successful candidates will be notified as soon thereafter as possible, and elections results will be posted at this webpage under “Elections.” By the end of days, the committee membership lists posted at this webpage, under “Committees,” will be updated with the election results. The Committee on Committees will then submit a final report of the 2022 General Election at the August 25, 2022, meeting of Faculty Council.

(A Call for Nominations for President of the University Faculty will be issued by the Academic Council Secretary, Dr. Kimberley J. Begley, on Monday, April 11, 2022. Instructions for that separate nominating process will accompany Dr. Begley’s Call for Nominations.)

On behalf of the Committee on Committees, I now issue a Call for Nominations for service on the University Committees with elected faculty representation and for membership on Faculty Council. (All members of Faculty Council are also members of Academic Council.) A list of open positions for the 2022 University General Election appears below.
