Ryan Athletic Center & D.J. Sokol Arena Debuts
Creighton University officially dedicated the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center and D.J. Sokol Arena during a ceremony on Aug. 28. The facility was made possible through generous donations by Wayne and Eileen Ryan and family and David and Peggy Sokol and their family, as well as other Bluejay donors and loyal fans. The new facility is the on-campus home for women's basketball and volleyball. The Creighton volleyball team christened the new gym with a three-set sweep of Texas Tech in front of 2,285 exuberant fans -- the largest on-campus crowd to watch a volleyball match in Creighton's history.
