Policy 15 - Adding New Positions

Written approval is required from a school or department's Vice President before any new GCF position or salary line may be added to the operating budget. This includes new positions or salary lines created from other open or unused salary lines.

This approval must be obtained even if an area has budget dollars available through salary, non-salary, or transfer "savings."

If the new position requires additional budget, Budget Committee approval must be obtained.
