Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program

Am I Eligible?

Applicants for the graduate fellowship, must be US citizens, and have completed their undergraduate degree by June 2011, to enter graduate school in fall 2011.  Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

What Will I Receive?

Fellowship winners will receive up to $32,500 per year toward a two-year masters degree in International Affairs or other field related to the Foreign Service.

According to the website, consideration will be given to qualified applicants who, in addition to outstanding leadership skills and academic achievement, demonstrate financial need. Candidates selected for final consideration will be brought to Washington, D.C. for interviews (from continental US points only) and to provide a writing sample. Applicants should carefully review the Foreign Service requirements for medical, security and suitability clearances (see Applicants are expected to register for the Foreign Service Written Examination.
