The Freshman Leadership Program is a nationally-recognized program which provides an alternative to regular residence hall life at Creighton University. In addition to living in community with each other on the 9th floor of Kiewit Hall, the FLP members are enrolled in a COM 152 class, attend speakers, serve in the community, complete a leadership portfolio project, and attend other leadership based events in order to develop strong leadership capabilities.
The Freshman Leadership Program strives to cultivate leadership and self-development through a living-learning community. Freshmen are empowered through their community to become ethical citizen-scholars through engagement in community service, leadership seminars, peer mentoring, and academic coursework. These experiential activities enable the individual members to become leaders for and with others.
