Safe Environments Training

Safe Environments Training

The Office of Equity and Inclusion offers "Safe Environments" training for faculty, staff, and students doing service with the Archdiocese of Omaha.  Safe Environments training is a requirement of the Archdiocese of Omaha for all adults volunteering with a Parish or with an area school.  The Creighton online training does not fulfill the Archdiocese requirement.

Individuals must attend an in-person training (approximately 2-3 hours) and complete a background check to be certified through the Archdiocese.  Certification is good for 5 years and after that time, individuals can complete an online refresher training to renew their certification.

To learn more, or to schedule a training for your group, contact the Office of Equity and Inclusion.  Note- Creighton Safe Environments trainings are held on-campus and are free for faculty, staff, or students who need certification as part of a job or volunteer opportunity through Creighton.
