Co-Curricular Activities

co-curricular activities

Language and culture are closely connected. Co-curricular activities facilitate the development of language skills in a real cultural context.  Besides helping students learn the U.S. and the local culture, the IELI and B2C co-curricular activities offer students real-life speaking opportunities, and are an integral part of the program.

Co-curricular activities typically include visits to many area attractions, including Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo; the Living History Farm in Iowa; Lincoln, the capital of the state of Nebraska. Students also attend campus lectures, performing arts series, the annual Omaha rodeo or games featuring Creighton's Division I teams, and participate in community service activities.
