Creighton Challenges Bluejay Fans
Creighton is challenging its most recent alumni to take their giving to new heights during the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) basketball championship season by issuing the MVC Challenge.
This is the third consecutive year for the MVC Challenge, with this year’s goal set at 500 gifts from the classes of 1995-2012 to the Creighton Fund during the challenge period—now through March 17.
The Creighton Fund supports student scholarships, faculty development, Creighton’s colleges and schools, and the University’s greatest need. The Creighton Fund is supported annually by thousands of Creighton alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends who believe in the mission of Creighton University and give generously to advance that mission each and every day.
Both the Creighton men’s and women’s basketball teams are looking forward to a successful tournament run and defending their 2012 MVC titles. The MVC Challenge gives recent alumni the opportunity to enjoy the spirit of the MVC tournaments while also generously supporting the people and programs at the very heart of the Creighton experience. Recent alumni make a big difference in the lives of today’s Creighton students no matter the size of their gift.
Recent alumni are receiving MVC Challenge email messages from the Blue Crew, Creighton men’s coach Greg McDermott, and Creighton women’s coach Jim Flanery, as well as phone calls from Creighton students, to encourage their participation in the challenge.
Alumni can track the progress of the MVC Challenge at giving.creighton.edu/MVC2013 and are encouraged to share the challenge with their classmates and fellow alumni through social media. Updates on the MVC Challenge and the teams’ tournament runs will be posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram through the end of the women’s tournament on March 17.
You, too, can join the excitement, show your support for the Jays and help Creighton students live out their Creighton experience with your gift to the MVC Challenge today!
