Listed below is information and links that you may find useful as a graduate student at Creighton. They are listed in alphabetical order. Don't see what you need? Let us know at gradsch@creighton.edu or use the search button above to search the main Creighton web site. 

BlueLine: Creighton University's online learning management system is called BlueLine and it can be accessed at https://blueline.instructure.com. You will need to log on with your NetID and password.

Bookstore: The bookstore is located in the Harper Center on the main floor or access them online.

Campus Dining: There are many options on campus for dining including cafeterias, a bistro, a grill, a food court, a sports bar, and a coffee shop. More information is available here.

Campus Maps: http://www.creighton.edu/maps/ The Graduate School is located in building #27, Creighton Hall (formerly the Administration Building) on the main campus, room 132.

Center for Health and Counseling: Provides health services and counseling - website.

Career and Academic Planning Program: The Creighton Career Center is available to assist students in clarifying, developing, and implementing career goals - website.

Collaborative Ministries: This office provides spiritual formation opportunities that strengthen personal and communal growth. Their office is located in Creighton Hall, Room 110 or visit their website.

Creighton ID: Card Services, which is located in the Harper Center, Suite 1094, will process your Creighton ID for you. You must be an active student and registered for courses to get an ID. See their website for details http://www.creighton.edu/adminfinance/cardservices/. The Harper Center is building #51 on the campus map.

Disability Services:  Graduate students with disabilities who require accommodations must make those needs known, in writing, to:  Assistant Dean, Graduate School, 2500 California Plaza, Omaha, NE  68178 as soon as possible (within 2 weeks of acceptance, or at least 5 weeks in advance of a course, workshop, program, or activity for which accommodation is requested).  It is the responsibility of the student to make these needs known in a timely fashion and to provide documentation and evaluations in appropriate cases.  Qualified students who apply for services related to a documented disability will receive written confirmation of what services will be provided by the University.  Students who do not require accommodations need not make their disabilities known.  Information concerning a student's disability and accommodations is treated as confidential information under applicable federal, state, and university laws and policies.  Students who believe they will need special accommodations should contact the Assistant Dean for the Graduate School at their earliest convenience.  In some cases, time will be required to evaluate documentation, work out specific accommodations, arrange a schedule in barrier-free classrooms, work out arrangements including funding for auxiliary services, and arrange accommodations for orientation.  The University may not be able to accommodate last minute requests for accommodation.

E-mail: You have access to Creighton’s e-mail system, available at: http://cumail.creighton.edu. To log in, enter your NetID and password. We recommend checking your Creighton e-mail frequently.

Financial Aid: For information on financial aid, please visit their web site and click on How do I Apply? Their offices are located in the Harper Center, if you need to meet with them in person.

Fitness Centers: Two fitness centers are available (please see their links for more information regarding student access):

Graduation: Information about graduation is located on the Registrar's Office website. Please see their site. Students who need to apply for graduation must do so through the NEST.

Housing information: For on-campus housing information, contact the Office of Residence Life, 402-280-2717, e-mail residencelife@creighton.edu, web site. Students who wish to live off-campus can check with Residence Life for information on rentals in the area. However, the actual arrangements for off-campus housing are left to the individual student. The university is not responsible for the off-campus rental agreements between students and their landlords.

Information Technology: The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) operates a student help desk, which is located in the lower level of the Reinert Alumni Library. Contact information:

Libraries: Creighton University has three libraries:

Parking: Parking stickers may be obtained through Public Safety, located at 2204 Burt Street (Phone 280-2104).  There is an annual fee for students parking on campus during the day.  If you will be attending night/evening class(es) on campus, parking is free.  However, it is recommended that you obtain a special parking sticker for evenings.

Public Safety: Public Safety works in partnership with students, faculty and staff to help and protect people, secure property, solve problems and enhance the quality of life on campus. See their website for more information. 

Registrar: Also through the Registrar's Website, in addition to transcripts and graduation/commencement, are course listings, academic calendars, bulletins, and student-related forms.

Registration and Grades:

  • New Students: The first time you register for courses, you must register through the Graduate School. In subsequent semesters you will receive a registration pin from your advisor or program director and you can register online.  First-time students can have their program director e-mail us with a list of courses to register for, or may stop by the Graduate School.  We will need to know your NetID and the CRN, or subject, course number, and section number or letter.
  • Current Students: Obtain your pin # from your advisor and register through NEST.

Student System

  • New Students: We will send you notification regarding your NetID. You can access the online student system at:  https://thenest.creighton.edu.  The first time you log in put in your NetID and the default password, which was provided to you by the Graduate School. International students should call the help desk at 402-280-1111 for password assistance.
  • Password change: To change your password: go to: https://ami.creighton.edu/index.php?loginBox=1 and click Login. On the next screen click on Change Blue Password and follow the instructions.
  • NetID: Remember your NetID and password, as you these are required to access any online system within Creighton (NEST, email, Blueline, etc.). Through NEST, you can register, view your course schedule, view your tuition statement, order textbooks, view your immunization records, etc.  The Business Office no longer sends tuition statement by mail; you will need to access this through NEST.  If you have problems logging in, please contact the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) at 402-280-1111.

Tuition and Fees: Please go to this link for the most current rates: http://www.creighton.edu/financialaid/ and then mouse over What Does It Cost? and click on Tuition, Fees, Room and Board.

Tuition Assistance may be available for those in need. Please fill out this form and return it to the Graduate School office for the Dean's approval.

Withdrawals and Refunds: When withdrawing from course(s), students should notify the Dean's office in writing (e-mail is acceptable) - gradsch@creighton.edu. The Graduate Bulletin and the Resource Booklet (link is at the top of this page) list the tuition refund schedule for students who withdraw.

Writing Center: This service is available to all Creighton University students and more information is available on their website.
