Why did you choose Creighton?  Being raised in Omaha, I have always admired Creighton’s role and merit in the community.

What made you decide to pursue education in this program? Science has always been an interest of mine.  I was glad to take part in program that incorporated both my interest in science and medicine.

What are your interests outside of graduate school? My other interests include dancing with an African dance troupe called African Culture Connection and volunteering in the community and in local hospitals.

What experiences at Creighton have best prepared you for life after college? My participation in governmental leadership positions has been instrumental in enriching my perspectives and reemphasizing how to effectively work with others in order to achieve a common goal.

What is your most memorable experience at Creighton? My most memorable experience was from my first participation in Relay for Life at Creighton with fellow graduate students.  This activity was extremely fun and allowed me and my fellow graduate students to come together in support of a greater cause.

What is one thing that you have accomplished that makes you proud? Over the years, I have had the privilege to establish both personal and networking relationship with graduate and undergraduate students.  These relationships have been enriching and reactivated my fervor for working with others.  I am proud of my efforts at networking and that my experiences at Creighton have allowed me to build these lifelong relationships.

What have you most enjoyed about your experience at Creighton? I have really enjoyed the ways in which Creighton’s commitment to the Society of Jesus has shaped my life and my career.  As a result, I have developed into a charitable and knowledgeable person whose involvement in leadership roles has allowed me to take on the roles of a community activist.

Are you involved in any community service activities? If so please specify. As well as participating in the volunteer opportunities organized by the Graduate Student Government, I am also a regular volunteer at the Nebraska Medical Center.
