The Interdisciplinary Doctorate of Education Program in Leadership is delivered online to meet the needs of adults engaged full time in a career. Accessibility to classes 24 hours a day, seven days a week provide opportunities for students to engage in the class dialogue no matter where they live or what time of the day or night it is. Online learning has become an accepted mode of delivery and recent studies have provided data indicating that it is an effective learning concept whereby quality instruction can be delivered. A recent publication (May, 2009) by the U.S. Department of Education titled, Evaluation of Evidence-Based Practices in Online Learning:  A Meta-Analysis and Review of Online Learning Studies, reported that, on average, students in online learning conditions performed better than those receiving face-to-face instruction.
