Negotiation & Dispute Resolution

Program:

The program is designed to prepare students to assume leadership positions in the field with specialized applications in areas of greatest need, including organizational settings, the workplace, health care institutions, and in domestic global transactions.  Those graduating from the program will be able to use their knowledge and skills in conflict management in a variety of careers that require dealing with human interaction.

Types of Degrees: MS and certificate

Duration:  The master’s program can be completed in 1 to 2 years depending on whether the student attends full time or part time and on participation in summer course programs.  The graduate certificate program can be completed in 6 months to a year.

Online: Both campus-based and online

Number of Credits Required: 32 for MS, 16 for certificate

Cost:

Stipend/Fellowship: No

Program Start: August, January, June

Application

Preferred Application Deadline: Domestic: August 1 for fall, December 1 for spring and May 1 for summer entry. International students should apply at least three months in advance of anticipated start date in order to get all paperwork processed.

Admissions Requirements:
Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree and submit the following documents:

1. Completed application and application fee
2. Two letters of recommendation (please use the electronic rec. process with the online application!). The recommendations should be completed and submitted by persons other than family members who are qualified to assess an applicant's performance in an academic or work setting.
3. Statement of purpose (250-500 words)
4. Resume
5. Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
6. Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or LSAT
6. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): All international applicants from countries in which English is not the primary language must demonstrate proficiency in English language by submitting a minimum TOEFL score of 80 iBT (213 CBT/550 PBT).  International applicants who receive their baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited institution in the US, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Africa (English-speaking only) are NOT required to submit a TOEFL score report.
