The graduate program in Pharmaceutical Sciences encompasses a multidisciplinary approach to graduate training, culminating in the M.S. degree.  Access web site here. 

The program of study leads to either a joint (dual track) Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)/M.S. or to an M.S. degree only. The program of study is tailored to the individual needs of each student and is based on the background and career objectives of each student. Students will complete a series of required and elective courses and will perform original research. Furthermore, students will be required to submit a thesis based on the outcome of their research.  The program provides the opportunity for students to specialize in the following areas: pharmacology, toxicology, immunopharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, medicinal chemistry, and cell biology.

Duration: Two years for MS

Admissions Requirements:
Applicants to the M.S. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences must have a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.  Students who are in the Pharm.D. program must be admitted into the Graduate School in order to participate in the joint Pharm.D./M.S. program in Pharmaceutical Science. An application should include:

1. Completed application and application fee
2. Three letters of recommendation (please use the electronic rec. process with the online application!). The recommendations should be completed and submitted by persons other than family members who are qualified to assess an applicant's performance in an academic or work setting.
3. Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
4. Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Please note we must receive official scores from ETS, the testing service. Our school code is 6121.
5. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): All international applicants from countries in which English is not the primary language must demonstrate proficiency in English language by submitting a minimum TOEFL score of 80 iBT (213 CBT/550 PBT).  International applicants who receive their baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited institution in the US, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Africa (English-speaking only) are NOT required to submit a TOEFL score report. Please note we must receive official scores from ETS, the testing service.
