Annual Activities - Fall

Homecoming: The GSA takes great pride in our Homecoming week participation. We love being active and involved in the campus community and homecoming is a great way to do so. The GSA currently boasts a four year winning streak for Patio Square decoration, and we've had more than one Mr. and Ms. Bluejay over the years.

Ally Week: A week of programming and activities focused around celebrating the positive impact our allies have on our lives and taking the time to thank them for the difference they make.

World AIDS Day: Every year, Nebraska AIDS Project volunteers their time and resources to provide the Creighton community with free and anonymous HIV testing.

Family to Family: The GSA joins many other student organizations in providing families in need with Christmas gifts and a Christmas dinner.

Night of A Thousand Stars: Formal Fundraiser put on by Nebraska AIDS Project which we encourage our members to volunteer at every year and to donate to also.

Annual Activites - Spring

MBLGTACC: Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally Collegiate Conference.  GSA attends this conference annually with around 20 delegates each year to learn more about the BLGTQA Community and bring more resources and education back to Creighton.  This conference also provides us with great networking to other schools in our midwest area.

GLBTQIA Retreat: This spring-time retreat is a forum for members of both the GSA and Creighton Community to talk about the intersection of spirituality and issues around sex, gender, and sexual orientation.

Relay for Life: Each year GSA forms a team to help in the fight against cancer and raise money fofr Relay for Life.

Intramurals: This year we're playing whiffleball!

GLBTQIA Awareness Week: DOS and DOD

Day of Silence (DOS): The Day of Silence, a day to recognize the silence that many GLBT people feel throughout their lives, is celebrated at Creighton by observing silence for one day, followed by a prayer service to Break the Silence.

Day of Dialogue (DOD): Recognized the day after the Day of Silence, the Day of Dialogue is intended to open dialogue across campus between all students, faculty, and staff members about issues of sexual orientation.
