The Center for Promoting Health and Health Equality has been award the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) grant from the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for an amount totaling appoximately $1.5 million for 3 years.
The REACH Grant is a community-academic collaborative to address the prevalence of chronic disease in the African-American community within Douglas County. The goal is to improve health and close the gap of health disparities through education and intervention for the Douglas County community.
