The Center for Promoting Health and Health Equality has been awarded funding for approximately $1.5 million from the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) program. This program is managed by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The REACH program is a community-academic collaborative to address the prevalence of chronic disease in the African-American community within Douglas County. The goal is to improve health and close the gap of health disparities through education and intervention for the Douglas County community.
