Creighton Doctor Receives National Health Leadership Award
Sade Kosoko-Lasaki, M.D., associate vice president for Health Sciences and professor at Creighton University School of Medicine has been awarded the first annual Louis W. Sullivan Health Leadership Award. The award was presented to Kosoko-Lasaki by the American Association of Physician Specialists, Inc. (AAPS) during the 60th House of Delegates and Annual Scientific Meeting held on June 26, in Los Angeles, California. The topic of this year’s meeting was women’s health.
Kosoko-Lasaki was honored for her efforts in increasing the work force by developing the academic abilities of underrepresented students in the health sciences and improving urban and rural public health practice across the United States and around the world. Nominees for the award must have made or be making an outstanding contribution through an initiative to improve the health status of individuals, targeted groups, communities, the nation or internationally.
