10th Annual Addressing Health Disparities Seminar

Effects of Policies, System, and Environment in Preventing and Improving Chronic Diseases

The seminar is designed to bring community and academia together to eliminate health disparities in the Omaha Community and Nebraska.
The purpose of the seminar is to increase knowledge, skills, and ability of academia and community regarding the effects of policies, systems, and environment in preventing and improving chronic diseases in addressing health disparities.
At the of the seminar the participant should be able to:

  • Recognize what Policies, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) changes means.
  • Discuss how to evaluate, develop, and implement new PSEs.
  • Recognize PSE outcomes after changes have been made.
  • Discuss policies for Nebraska Medicaid coverage, its process, and sustainability.
