Precision Search Trial

The library is providing trial access to Precision Search.

With Precision Search, searching Medline® has never been easier or more powerful. It is the self-serve Medline search tool, designed to be the tool your users turn to first when looking for Medline articles. Three features distinguish Precision Search from all other Medline search tools:

  • it delivers MeSH-specific results without the user needing to know how to conduct a MeSH-specific search;
  • it shows search results faceted (or sorted) by specific topics. The Precision Search taxonomy features more than 3,000 topics in more than 120 specialties in healthcare; and
  • it allows both anonymous and personalized searching.

Point-of-Care Resources Trial

This trial has been extended until Wednesday, 16 May 2012.

The Creighton University Health Sciences Library has subscribed to the point-of-care database UpToDate for some time. In order to determine the optimal clinical reference tool for both content and cost, the library is conducting a trial through the end of April to compare UpToDate with two similar products: DynaMed, and BMJ Best Practice with Isabel, a differential diagnosis program.

To access these resources, please follow these links:

BMJ Best Practice with Isabel

DynaMed

UpToDate

Your feedback is essential. Please reply to this brief survey to contribute your assessment based on concurrent searches in all three sources. Submit a separate survey for each clinical query you search. Your honest evaluations will help us find the best match.

If you have questions or comments, please contact Bryan Stack, Collection Services Librarian, 402-280-5137 or bstack@creighton.edu.
