Remote access server upgrade

The server upgrade was successful. Creighton NetID logins usually contain your initials and some random numbers. Only current faculty, staff, and students should have unrestricted access to the online library collections. The server upgrade is helping us to comply with the publisher's legal contracts regarding who may use our collections.

Today is the end of the semester. The process to upgrade the server has begun.

The off-campus authentication server administered by library staff will be upgraded at the end of the semester. Once completed, only Creighton NetID login credentials will be supported. If you don't have a NetID, you will need to be sponsored by your school. To check if you have a Creighton NetID and to reset the password if needed, go to http://ami.creighton.edu.

AMA provides trial access to Dynamed

The AMA and Ebsco are providing extensive trial access to Dynamed Plus. AMA members can try Dynamed Plus for 18 months. Because of the library's subscription to JAMANetwork all Creighton faculty, staff, and students can try Dynamed Plus for 9 months.

First you should go to JAMANetwork and create an account at the top right. Then go to this JAMAnetwork page and register for the appropriate free trial. Your Dynamed Plus credentials unlock the free app in the app store.

Dynamed Plus is a clinical information resource designed to answer faster. It makes evidence based recommendations and evaluates the evidence. It also has more than 4700 images, drug information from Micromedex, and links to the primary literature. The app allows you to download information to your device so you have offline access to the clinical information wherever you are.

Contact the reference staff if you have questions about registering for or using Dynamed Plus.
