What is RefWorks?
- RefWorks is a web-based personal biblilographic database manager. Use it to create your own bibliographic database, format bibliographies, and share references with colleagues or classmates.

- Notice: On Monday, August 8th, RefWorks will be switching to the RefWorks 2.0 interface. Users, however, will continue to be able to access the RefWorks Classic interface through December 2011. Users do not need to do anything to their accounts. Nothing with the data in the respective RefWorks accounts changes - only the interface changes. Users simply log-in and will be able to switch back and forth between the two interfaces. Write-N-Cite has not yet changed and is fully compatible with the 2.0 interface. Users are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the RefWorks 2.0 interface prior to the end of support of the RefWorks Classic interface (December 2011). Write-N-Cite for RefWorks
- Write-N-Cite is a small helper program for Microsoft Word. Once installed you will be able to cite references with the click of a button.

- The new Write-N-Cite for Mac is now available. It is compatible with OS X 10.5, 10.6, & 10.7 (Leopard, Snow Leopard, & Lion). To download the new Write-N-Cite for Mac:
- login to your RefWorks account
- mouse over the Tools tab & click on Write-N-Cite
- access Write-N-Cite for Mac from the resulting screen
- install information for the new Write-N-Cite for Mac
- Write-N-Cite III for Windows is currently available.

- PC instructions
- From the Start Menu select Programs and RefWorks
- Select the WNC Proxy Configuration Utility
- Paste the following URL in the box:
- Click OK
- NOTE: You will be prompted to login to exproxy after you change this configuration. Call the reference desk at (402) 280-5138 if you need assistance.
- Mac instructions
- start Write-N-Cite
- select Preferences from the Write-N-Cite menu at the top left of the screen
- select the proxy option
- Paste the following proxy server URL in the blank:
- close and restart Write-N-Cite
- NOTE: You will be prompted to login to exproxy after you change this configuration. Call the reference desk at (402) 280-5138 if you need assistance.
