The staff of the Health Sciences Library/Learning Resources Center has always prided itself in providing outstanding service and communication to our primary clients, the faculty, staff, and students of the health science programs at Creighton University. To continue to build upon that excellent service we are implementing a library liaison program. This program is not intended to replace any established lines of communication; rather it is to complement existing communication patterns.

The intention of the library liaison program is to provide faculty, staff, and students with a contact person in the library, who they can call upon for information about any library service, resource, or issue. The liaison’s primary role is to foster two-way communication between the library and the school. The liaison is expected to understand the information needs of his or her school as clearly as possible, and to represent those needs within the library. Liaisons are knowledgeable about library resources and services and will be able to represent these effectively to their contacts.
