Wake Up Workouts: Fall Session

Need some motivation to exercise, or maybe you just need an extra push to intensify your workouts? Wake Up Workouts are certified personal trainer led group training sessions for CU faculty & staff. You’ll get a cardio and strength workout and the classes are designed for ALL fitness levels!

Dates: October 3 – November 16

Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays

Time: 6:30-7:15 AM OR 7:00- 7:45 AM

Location: Rasmussen Fitness Center

There is parking around the Rasmussen Fitness Center and the locker room and towels are available for use after the workout.

Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program

Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program

Creighton University is committed to promoting and encouraging a healthy and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. In continuing this commitment, Creighton piloted a new wellness benefit for employees called "The Creighton Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program" from August 2008 to September 2009. 

The purpose of this pilot program was to establish a care management healthcare service via a cooperative relationship between Creighton's Departments of Pharmacy Practice, Medicine (Division of Cardiology), and Human Resources. The primary objective was to provide a progressive and unique patient-centered care management and wellness program to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors. This program would strive to improve personal health and quality of life, prevent cardiovascular disease, and contain costs associated with the disease.

The Diabetes Mellitus Risk Reduction Program

The Diabetes Mellitus Risk Reduction Program

The newest Creighton Risk Reduction Program started in April 2011 and focuses on Diabetes. The Diabetes Mellitus Risk Reduction Program (DMRRP) enrolls 15 Creighton employees who have the diagnosis of diabetes. As with the CVRRP, this program is free of charge to eligible employees.
