Great American Smokeout Features Contests, Education

Creighton University, a tobacco-free campus, will be using the Great American Smokeout, November 19, as an opportunity to educate students, faculty and staff about the health dangers of tobacco use.  Activities include:

  • Students have created a virtual "Guess the Butts" contest on facebook. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Omaha-NE/Kick-Butts-for-Snuggies/337987340642?ref=ts.  The top winners will win a snuggie and will learn more about the dangers of smoking.

  • Stop by the tobacco-free educational table and check the display at the Skutt Student Center on November 19 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Programs Offered for Tobacco-Cessation

Creighton offers several classes and seminars to assist Creighton community members with tobacco-cessation.  is a tobacco education program held in groups that is designed for people who are not quite ready to quit tobacco, but are getting more comfortable with the idea of change.
