Four-Year Medical School Open Now

Creighton University is changing the landscape of healthcare in Phoenix with the opening of a full four-year medical school campus in 2021.

Students in the School of Medicine MD program have the opportunity to live and learn on the campus in Omaha and the new one in Phoenix —and join a new generation of health professionals in the fast-growing region.

Creighton medical students started serving clinical rotations at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix dating back to 2005. In 2012, more than 40 Creighton School of Medicine students began serving their third and fourth years at Creighton’s Phoenix campus, which is based at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Phoenix is also home to a number of residency and fellowship programs through the Creighton University School of Medicine - Phoenix. The strategic partnership, established in 2017, brings together Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Valleywise Health, District Medical Group and Creighton University to provide access to high-quality teaching environments for Creighton students and medical residents.
