Associate Programs
Associate Programs are study abroad programs administered by other institutions or organizations. Eligiblity, cost, courses, on-site assistance and deadlines vary by program.
Creighton University students may participate on study abroad programs administered by other institutions or organizations, with approval from the OIP. However, students and their parents must understand that Creighton does not endorse, nor does it administer, study abroad programs not affiliated with the university. Because these programs vary in quality, students must consult with the Study Abroad Coordinator and obtain study abroad approval from the OIP before settling on any particular program.
It is the student's responsibility to thoroughly research any Associate study abroad program, and to use prudent judgment before deciding to participate on any such program . It is also the student?s responsibility to talk to his/her academic advisor, Department Chairs, and the Dean?s Office before deciding to participate in any Associate study abroad program to understand how Creighton will account for the credits earned in the program.
If eligible, federal financial aid may be portable. Students should understand the costs and the financial aid implications before deciding to participate in any Associate study abroad program. The Financial Aid office can assist a student in answering these kinds of questions.
Associate Programs are not administered/sponsored by Creighton and the Associate Programs listed on this website are not endorsed by Creighton nor will they automatically be approved by the Office of International Programs. Students who choose to participate on Associate Programs must obtain program approval from the Office of International Programs before applying directly to any program (not limited to the options below).
