Diversity & Leadership
Diversity and leadership are two integral parts of IRHG. Every member of IRHG is committed to the ideals of diversity which the university lays out in its mission statement. This committee makes the extra effort to educate all students about the reality of diversity issues which affect our world today. The main event which the committee puts on if its "Movies That Make You Go Hmm..." series. Once a month, the committee picks a movie, often in conjunction with another organization, which they believe accurately portrays a diversity issue. The committee is always open to new ideas, so please feel free to email the chair of the Diversity and Leadership Committee, Tiara Davis, with any suggestions.
Another aspect of the committee is bringing in a few speakers throughout the year, to share their stories. As an example, the committee brought in a Holocaust survivor to speak about her life in a Jewish Ghetto during World War II.
