Creighton Professor Co-Editor of Epilepsy Textbook
OMAHA, Sept. 1, 2009 - Roger Brumback, chair of Creighton University’s Department of Pathology, is co-editor of a recently released book, titled “Advanced Therapy in Epilepsy.”
The 475-page textbook was released in early August by People’s Medical Publishing House (PMPH). It is designed to be resource for physicians involved in the care of patients with seizures or epilepsy.
With 58 chapters contributed by experts in the field, the book offers a comprehensive primer on epilepsy diagnosis as well as the latest therapeutic advances in the management and treatment of the disease. One chapter covers co-morbid conditions including, depression, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke and head trauma. A DVD with videos demonstrating surgeries and illustrating seizure types is included.
