Who can help me select the courses that meet my needs?

Students enrolled in ISP courses who do not already have an advisor may wish to consult the Independent Study Program's Educational Advisor. The advisor is available to assist students with academic planning or with any problems they may be having with their coursework. Generally, the advisor is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time.

Where do I send change of address or telephone number?

You are responsible for notifying the ISP Office of a change of address.

Can I email an assignment?

Are my records confidential?

Creighton's policy relating to the confidentiality of student records is in keeping with the "Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as Amended." Information about a student (or former student) will not be released without the consent of the student other than in the exceptions stated in the Federal Act. A student is also accorded the right to inspect and review his/her education records. A summary of the University's Student Records Policy is published in the Student Handbook. A copy of the Student Handbook or complete policy statement may be obtained from the Office of the Registrar or from the office of the dean of the student's school or college.

Can Independent Study courses be applied to a degree program?

Independent Study courses may be applied towards degree programs offered through Creighton University. However, it is important that you check with your advisor to ensure that the course is part of your degree requirements.
