Overview
Creighton University understands that there are many individuals who wish to take college courses but are employed full-time or have other responsibilities that prevent them from enrolling in traditional on-campus college classes. The Independent Study Program is designed to allow individuals to take college level courses at a time and place which is flexible. Rather than working with an instructor in a college classroom, the student communicates with Creighton faculty. Regular communication is the key to receiving the personalized instruction that ordinarily is given in a traditional classroom. Creighton's Independent Study courses have been written on the assumption that some students do not have access to the educational resources and facilities found on Creighton's campus. These Independent Study courses have been designed to bring the same high degree of instructional quality maintained by our on-campus degree programs.
