Welcome to the Career Development Office at Creighton University School of Law

The staff of the Career Development Office (CDO) looks forward to working with you.  The purpose of the CDO is to assist Creighton University School of Law students and alumni with their career and professional development needs.  Our office partners with students and alumni to craft independent job search strategies for legal and non-legal career paths. The Office also provides programs, activities and career counseling, all geared to assist individuals in the choosing the right career path for them.

The programs, activities, and services provided through the CDO are supportive in nature. We seek to empower students and alumni to direct their own job searches.  Due to the nature of legal hiring, the CDO cannot ?place? students and alumni ? only employers have the power to give students a job.  But the CDO will offer support to students at every step in their job search by providing professional advice, relevant information and opportunities to connect with employers.

The CDO is located on the second floor of the Ahmanson Law Center. Office hours are Monday through Friday:  8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The CDO is staffed by Assistant Dean, Tammy King, Career Counselor, Emily Beller, and Career Development Coordinator, Karen Dixon. Dean King and Ms. Beller are available for personal appointments with students and alumni to discuss job search strategies, and Ms. Dixon is available to respond to student and alumni inquiries, especially those concerning on-campus interviewing procedures.
