The Creighton University School of Law Career Development Office provides a wide variety of career counseling and planning resources to our students including:

Career Counseling - The primary function of the office is to provide individual counseling dealing with resume and cover letter preparation, job-search strategies, interviewing skills, reference selection, and determining career objectives. Each student should meet with either Dean King or Ms. Beller to plan their job search strategy.

Announcement of Job Vacancies - The office maintains a website of open positions for law clerks and attorneys. These are posted on the Creighton job posting website ? Symplicity.

Programs on Career-Related Topics - Programs are offered to students throughout the academic year dealing with a wide variety of career-related topics including resume writing, interviewing skills, and legal career opportunities and options.

On-Campus Interview Program - Through the on-campus interview program offered at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, students are able to interview with a variety of employers from Omaha and across the nation. Students sign-up on the Symplicity online system.

Law Alumni - Creighton University has a great network of Law alumni. These alumni are a good tool for students to use in building a professional network. Many alumni are listed in the Martindale-Hubbellİ Law Directory.

Reciprocity - The CDO can attempt to arrange reciprocity for students with other law school career planning offices. Reciprocal policies vary from school to school and must be first initiated by the staff of the Career Development Office before a student will be permitted to use the other school?s facilities.

Written Materials - The CDO has prepared a number of useful guides, pamphlets, and handouts dealing with the career-related areas. Many of these are located on line under the Resources for Students section.
