Trudy Bredthauer practiced law with Baird, Holm, McEachen, Pedersen, Hamman and Strasheim prior to retiring in 1998. She is a Past President of the Nebraska Council of School Attorneys and a Nebraska Bar Association Foundation Lifetime Fellow. She is also a past State Board Member of the Nebraska Continuing Legal Education, Inc. and a past member of the Labor Law Section of the Nebraska Bar Association and the American Academy of Hospital Attorneys. She has represented School Districts and served as a lobbyist before the Nebraska Legislature concerning education, health and labor law issues.

In the community, Trudy is a past Board Member of West Omaha Rotary, past Board Member of the West Omaha Rotary Foundation, Past President of the Opera Omaha Guild, Past President of the Omaha Symphony Guild and Past President of the Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society Alliance. Trudy currently also serves on the Board of Directors of Radio Talking Book and the Opera Omaha Board of Directors.
