Carol C. Knoepfler joined the Creighton University School of Law Faculty in August 2008, and is an Assistant Professor of Law and the Director of Legal Writing at the Law School. Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Knoepfler was a career law clerk for the Honorable Lindsey Miller-Lerman, Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court, and she taught various courses as an Adjunct Professor at the Law School, including Legal Writing and Lawyering Skills I and II; Employment Discrimination; Business Associations; and Legal Interviewing, Negotiations, and Counseling. Previously she also was a partner with the Omaha law firm of Baird Holm, LLP, working in the Labor & Employment Section of the firm. Prior to becoming the Interim Director, Professor Knoepfler was the Assistant Director of Legal Writing.
Professor Knoepfler earned her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in History & Political Science, in 1984, from DePauw University, and her Juris Doctor with high honors, in 1987, from the University of Iowa College of Law. At the University of Iowa, she was a Senior Note & Comment Editor of the Iowa Law Review. Professor Knoepfler teaches Legal Writing and Lawyering Skills I and II and Employment Discrimination.
