Associate Professor of Accounting. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988, his J.D. degree from Creighton University in 1977, his M.A. degree from the University of Missiouri, Columbia in 1978, and his B.S.B.A. from Creighton University in 1972. Professor Purcell has been a full-time member of the faculty at Creighton University since 1979 in the College of Business Administration. He has published several books for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and many articles in refereed journals. Professor Purcell teaches Estate and Gift Taxation and Federal Income Taxation.
