Mission

The Eileen B. Lieben Center for Women at Creighton University was established by students, faculty, and staff to respond to issues impacting women students at Creighton University. While The Eileen B. Lieben Center for Women is student-centered, it is a caring, welcoming space for all members of the Creighton community and aims to improve the quality of life on campus through programming, leadership initiatives, and by providing various resources for all Creighton women’s organizations.

Logo

The Lieben Center logo was developed in the summer of 2007 in hopes that it would become a symbol that the Creighton community would recognize as belonging to the Lieben Center. The Jesuit value, Forming and Educating Agents for Change, was a source of inspiration during the design process. Under the guidance of this value, the following statement serves as motivation for the Women Center’s approaching journey:  Inspiring Women to Stand for Change.  The hope is that the Lieben Center can provide students, faculty, and staff with the necessary support and resources to become agents for change both on campus and within the community. This idea of growth and development led to the design of a logo that resembles a butterfly, a symbol that is both feminine and strong but that also depicts change and growth.
