If you received a letter inviting you to apply for this scholarship and are not currently a Clare Boothe Luce scholar:

1. Download the Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship Application.  The file is a Microsoft Word template.  Opening the file will produce a Word document that you can edit and save on your computer.  The application is a fill-in form that will allow you to tab from one entry to another.
2. Identify two people to write letters supporting your application; one should be the person supervising your proposed research project.  Ask your letter writers to download the Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship Recommendation Form.  Opening this file will open a Word document that can be edited.  The letter of recommendation can be typed directly in that form.
3. Completed applications and letters of recommendations should be returned to Betty Bahr in the Mathematics Department on the second floor of the Old Gym.  The deadline for completed applications is March 15, 2011.

2. Your research supervisor will need to write a letter of recommendation for you.  Ask your supervisor to download the Clare Boothe Luce Renewal Recommendation Form.  Opening this file will create a Word document that can be edited.  The letter of recommendation can be typed directly in that form.

Download either the Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship Recommendation Form or the Clare Boothe Luce Renewal Recommendation Form, depending on whether you are recommending a student who is applying for a new scholarship or a renewal scholarship.  These files are Microsoft Word templates.  Opening either file will create a Word document that can be edited and saved.  The letter of recommendation can be typed directly in that form.  (The page will expand if necessary).
2. Completed letters of recommendations should be returned to Betty Bahr in the Mathematics Department on the second floor of the Old Gym.  The deadline for completed applications is March 15, 2011.
