Creighton University Magis Program

Magis, a Latin term meaning “the more,” is the charism of the Society of Jesus that embodies St. Ignatius’ question in his Spiritual Exercises:  “What more can I do for Christ?”

Magis Catholic Teacher Corps recruits college graduates who view education as their vocation and their ministry.  In a spirit of service, our teachers respond to the question “what more can I do for Christ?” by making a two year commitment to teach in under-resourced Catholic schools throughout Nebraska and South Dakota.  During these two years, teachers live together in intentional Christian community as they pursue educational, professional, and spiritual development.

Be sure visit our News & Happenings page to learn about new happenings at Magis and to read articles about our teachers.  In addition, we encourage you to like us on Facebook!

Magis is a member of the University Consortium for Catholic Education (UCCE). This consortium seeks to establish and support a growing cadre of colleges and universities as they design and implement graduate teaching service programs. If the Magis program does not meet your specific needs or interests, please consider applying for one of the other 14 UCCE member programs.
