Faith Formation Opportunities
L.I.F.E. (CLC Faith Sharing Groups)
Living In Faith Everyday Groups are available for students wishing to become part of a small community in which to share with others their spiritual journey. For more information check out L.I.F.E. page.
Faith and Pasta
Held periodically throughout the semester, Faith and Pasta is a time for members of the Creighton community to come together for a complimentary spaghetti dinner to discuss and share ideas on various topics in religion and spirituality. Not a debate forum, nor a formal class, these events give people the opportunity to listen to the wide range of views of current issues. Topics in the past have included Faith and Violence, Faith and Women, and Understandings of Sacred Texts. Keep an eye on the "Coming Up" section of our webpage for the next topic and date!
Spiritual Conversation
Do you desire to talk with a spiritual mentor one-on-one about your life and your faith? Contact Laura Weber in Campus Ministry she will introduce you to the possibility of spiritual conversation or spiritual direction with a trained spiritual adviser from your faith tradition. We are here for you. Stop by to see us!
Special Events
When tragedy, triumph, and special needs arise, Campus Ministry has offered special events to lend a hand. In recent years, we have organized benefits and awareness events for tsunami victims, hurricane refugees, and drought in Africa. Last year we sponsored the Christmas Cookie Cafe to serve our sister school, Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. These were biggies but we can also help you with a prayer service, reflection, prayer, or other needs.
Prayer and Reflection
Besides opportunities for daily mass, weekend liturgies, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, come together with others to pray, reflect, and celebrate your faith in these ways:
Protestant Sunday Service Sunday nights at 9:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lower St. John's Church.
Lutheran Campus Ministry in Collaboration with CU Campus Ministry is a student group offering protestant students a faith community of peers while here at Creighton. Check this group out on their facebook or contact Dr. Ashley Hall, CU Professor of Theology.
Holy Hour with Eucharistic Adoration Monday nights at 9 P.M. in St. John's Church. (During the academic year)
