PARISH ENSEMBLES
Music Ministry at St. John's is an open environment; no auditions are required and all members of the community are welcome to join. We serve the community gathered at the following weekly celebrations:
- SATURDAY 5:00 pm
- SUNDAY 10:30 am
- SUNDAY 4:30 pm*
- SUNDAY 9:00 pm*
*academic year only
These ensembles rehearse one hour before each mass.
UNIVERSITY LITURGIES AND SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS
Members of Music Ministry gather together several times during the year for all-University liturgies (e.g., Mass of the Holy Spirit, Baccalaureate Mass), holy days and major solemnities of the Church, prayer services, invocations and more. We have provided sung prayer for the President's Convocation, liturgies with the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, ordinations, weddings, funerals, and special celebrations at Omaha's Qwest Center and Holland Performing Arts Center.
