Liturgical Life
Liturgical Worship
St. John's is the center of Creighton University's vibrant campus community. At significant times of the year, the Creighton Community comes together in St. John's to give thanks for our gifts, to celebrate our accomplishments, to support one another in times of loss, and to welcome new members. Many students, faculty, and staff of different faiths find St. John's a quiet sacred space during the days and nights. We encourage all members of the Creighton community to find time for quiet reflection and prayer.
You will find many spiritual programs offered here. You are invited to participate in our annual liturgies, such as the Welcome Week Mass, Mass of the Holy Spirit, Founder's Week Mass, and the Baccalaureate Masses. Special occasions draw many from the community to participate as planners or leaders of prayer. Catholic students make St. John's their home. They serve as musicians, lectors, liturgical assistants, and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion at our usual weekend liturgies as well as at special university liturgies. If you are a student, faculty member, or staff member, and you are interested in serving as a liturgical minister at St. John's, you may click here to find out more information and to sign up.

Protestant Sunday Worship
Protestant students have the opportunity to form a worship community every Sunday, when classes take place on the following Monday, at 9:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lower St. John's. Students are invited to be part of the music ministry, be a reader, or help with communion. Area pastors of mainline protestant churches come to preside at these liturgies. Dr. Ashley Hall, professor of theology and Associate Pastor of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church is the main presider and also meets regularly with a group of students to form the Lutheran Campus Ministry Group here on campus. Contact Marie Hilton, Campus Minister, for more information.
Eucharistic Adoration
Come join other Creighton students for Eucharistic Adoration on Monday evenings, 9:00 p.m. in St. John's Church. During one of the scheduled Mondays each month, Fr. Roc O'Connor S.J. leads a reflection on the theology and understanding of the Eucharist.
