Help out during Fall Break!
Are you looking for something to do over this upcoming Fall Break? Why not invest your free time in a great cause?
2 Fall Break Alternatives that are in need of your help are below. Please contact Natalie or Betsy Scarpaci to help with these great housing efforts in Omaha during fall break.
- Betsy Scarpaci (elizabethscarpaci@creighton.edu) will coordinate a group of volunteers Thursday Oct. 22 with Gesu Housing. Most of the work will be related to gardening, planting trees, construction cleaning, etc., on the construction site of 3 new houses in north Omaha (42nd and Burdette).
- There is also an opportunity to help out with "Blitz Build." Blitz Build will most likely run Monday-Friday, from about 9-4 every day. There's no cost to anyone to participate, though anyone living in residence halls will need to request approval to stay during break. We do have a limit of 15 people a day though, as we only have one site we are working on. People don't have to do every day either, so if they only want to stay part of the week they can.
